Booking terms
The plain-English version of how booking with us works.
1. Making a booking
Your booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit and send a written confirmation. The deposit is 20% of the trip cost. The balance is due 45 days before departure. For bookings made within 45 days, full payment is due at booking.
2. Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal through a secure payment page, and bank transfer. We never ask for card details by email, phone or chat.
3. Changes
Before booking, itinerary changes are free. After booking, we'll make changes wherever possible. If a hotel, airline or railway charges for a change, we pass on that cost only, and tell you before making it.
4. Cancellation by you

5. Cancellation by us
If we must cancel, for example because of a natural disaster or government restrictions, you can choose a full refund or a new date at no extra charge.
6. Travel insurance
Insurance covering medical treatment and repatriation is required. We recommend cover for cancellation as well.
7. Our responsibility
We are a licensed travel agency (Beijing Jiacheng International Travel Service Co., Ltd., licence L-BJ07732) and carry travel agency liability insurance as required by Chinese law. We're responsible for the services we arrange and for choosing reliable suppliers.
8. Privacy
We collect only what we need to plan and run your trip: your name, contact details, passport details (for tickets and hotel registration), and any health or dietary needs you share. We share them only with the hotels, guides and transport providers on your trip. We never sell your data. Ask us at any time to see or delete what we hold.
